About Belly Dance Costumes By TC and Me………TC
I have always done some kind of sewing/creating all my life. I started making bras when I started Middle Eastern dance class in the mid 1990’s. I would say it started as a hobby, and I taught myself. I kept trying different things and different materials and different techniques. In 2001 I came up with a technique I liked and it was very cost efficient. I now find much of my fabric, threads, linings etc from yard sales, thrift stores, estate sales and donations. I have a motto “everything old is new again”. It is very low cost to produce as far as materials are concerned and that savings gets passed on to you, the buyer. It is also an “earth friendly” way of manufacturing. My costumes and bras are perfect for the new student, hobbyist, or the dancer on a budget. Each piece is lined and the bras are very sturdy. I handcraft my costume designs my self, no outsourcing. I consider each piece a unique work of art. Because of the material source, it is very unlikely a costume will be duplicated. For the most part, each costume is one of a kind. I am located in Tempe AZ, USA. So spend your money conscientiously and support your country’s economy.

When I am not making costumes, I spend my time with my husband, two girls, and 5 cats. I enjoy dancing and attending SCA events. I also produce Middle Eastern dance shows, gatherings, and performance arts pieces.
